Prospects for the development of the real estate accounting system in Russia in the context of digital transformation and the provision of public services are visible based on an analysis of the experience of recent years and are associated with automation and digitalization of processes. One of the main problems is the unification of data and classifiers. Over the past decades, various approaches to the description of buildings and structures in information resources have emerged: accounting of the housing stock in the form of floor plans and explications; generation of electronic passports of State information system for housing and communal services; accounting of buildings, structures, unfinished construction objects and premises in the form of a set of disparate plans and sets of coordinated external contours. Although three-dimensional accounting of real estate objects has a number of advantages, its high cost and lack of practical necessity limit its use in practice solely for cadastre purposes. Several scenarios can be identified for pairing State information system for urban planning activities and Unified State Register of Real Estate data regarding capital construction projects, since closer interaction between these information systems is expected.
